Listen: Ty Dolla $ign brings in Kanye, Twigs and Skrillex for “Ego Death”

To say this collaboration is an eclectic one is an understatement.

Ty Dolla $ign drops his first single since “Hottest in the City” last August. That does not mean that Ty has not been working hard. Numerous collaborations have arrived, including “Hot Girl Summer” with Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj or “Speed Me Up” with Wiz Khalifa, Lil Yatchy and Sueco the Child for the Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack.

The R&B singer has delved into many genres over his career and this track is no different. The feature of Skrillex can obviously highlight this. A sample of “Free” by Ultra Nate and “Hold on, there’s a train coming” from Ye’s 2018 rant video in which he addresses Nick Cannon, Drake and Tyson Beckford. As well as other samples. During Ye’s verse, you may have heard those synths before. They sound extremely similar to the ones found on “I Love It” featuring Lil Pump.

Anyway, this track is likely to found itself on Ty Dolla $ign’s latest album Dream House. The tracklist or release date is yet to be announced but it is expected to arrive later this year.
