Not many artists release three albums in less than one year. The XXL Magazine Freshman 2019 inductee is aiming for the top of the Hip-Hop and Rap scene in America.
Since his breakout hit “Goin’ Baby” and “Suge”, DaBaby has dropped his second studio album “Baby On Baby” back in March, following his debut album back in November 2018 entitled “Blank Blank”.
This latest release is a 13 track project with features from Kevin Gates, Chance the Rapper, Gucci Mane, YK Osiris, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Stunna 4 Vegas and the Migos.
During a recent interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106, DaBaby subliminally hints that this album is going to, at the very least, huge for the Rap game. DaBaby was asked what we can look forward to with Kirk so he then puts forward the question of what the biggest project is that has been dropped in our era and that has done the for the scene culturally. Nick Cannon states that Biggie’s Life After Death was his but DaBaby admits that for his era, Carter III is the one and the one he will be aiming to emulate with his own project. DaBaby believes in his own work and no one should blame him, no artist should be putting music out without fully believing that it could be the next big thing.
DaBaby furthermore adds that he has always said he will hit the Rap scene like LeBron hit the NBA. So far, it would appear that he is on his way but only time will help…
