Stormzy is slowly turning into one of those artists that is able to get away with being fairly silent for a period of time, come back and drop a song for that takes off and then repeat.
After his groundbreaking and historic performance at Glastonbury, Stormzy has obviously been around and about but compared to other artists, he is clearly one to move around silently. In a similar vein to Kano, Stormzy is clearly able to go about his work without making too much noise before suddenly dropping a new track or project. That is no way a criticism as an artist of his calibre is able to do so whereas many other artists would struggle to stick to a similar schedule without fading into some sort of slight obscurity or even worse, a complete irrelevance.
The rapper has now dropped “Sounds Of The Skeng” which follows his huge hits “Crown” and “Vossi Bop” earlier this year. The artwork for the single confirms that it is a clear spin on “The Sound Of Music”.
With the producer of the track being Grime production expert, Sir Spyro, we all know the kind of vibe we are going to be getting from this track. Although no announcement for an album has been made, the track will be expected, along with “Vossi Bop” and “Crown”, to be part of any up and coming album.
