Ed Sheeran’s big summer of collaborations has just had another song added to it’s list.
“Take Me Back To London” featuring Stormzy appeared on Ed’s No.6 Collaborations album. Whilst the song focuses on the English capital city, it was clear that Ed wanted to expand the song to two of the other major cities in the country.
The remix features Birmingham’s JayKae and Manchester’s Aitch to cleverly incorporate a couple of the biggest names in UK Rap from outside of London. For a long period of time, London was seen as the hub for musical talent in the UK scene. The expansion of the UK scene has allowed for rappers and singers alike that are from outside of London to have their music heard. The likes of MIST and Bugzy Malone, along with JayKae and Aitch have had their name listed amongst some of the biggest names in the scene that are from outside the capital city. This song has only helped push this expansion further.
