Latest: Snoop Dogg drops his 17th studio album, ‘I Wanna Thank Me’

One of the legends of the Hip-Hop and Rap genre, Snoop Dogg has dropped his 17th project, I Wanna Thank Me.

Speaking to Billboard, in an interview, Snoop Dogg explains that a lot of the songs are about bringing people together, bringing peace. He further explains that as an older statesman in the Rap and Hip-Hop scene now, he is aware that he still has a role for the younger MC’s coming up in the scene.

I also have to educate, elevate and innovate all at the same time

The album includes a wide variety of collaborations from Slick Rick, Swizz Beatz and DJ Battlecat through to Chris Brown, Trey Songz, YG and DJ Mustard.

Also, although album cover artwork does not get much attention on it nowadays, this cover artwork is able to create a visual representation of a thank you to himself as it highlights Snoop Dogg throughout his career.
