Mo Gilligan: Sky is the Limit for Comedy Star

Mo Gilligan has been posting comedy videos via social media outlets such as Twitter and Instagram for a number of years now. His content ranges from impersonations to mini sketches that most people can relate too.

With the recent announcement of his own show coming to Friday evenings on Channel 4. Mo has the comedic ability, enthusiasm, work rate and charisma to go all the way. Channel 4 is known for its comedy content with shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, hosted by high profile UK comedian Jimmy Carr, and the popular Inbetweeners.

All the hard work had finally paid off when, back in 2017, Mo got a co-sign from musical giant, Drake. Before Drake made an appearance with Giggs for his set at Reading and Leeds festival, Drake dropped this Insta picture…

The Couple of Cans quote is a reference to Mo’s impersonation of an East London Cockney geezer. It sky rocketed Mo’s name into an even wider audience. The Couple of Cans quote was also the title of the comedians debut tour that ended up breaking records in terms of ticket sales.

Last year, Mo appeared along side Big Narstie as a cohost to the rapper’s Channel 4 show. The show was a huge hit with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Tory Lanez featuring on the show.

Mo has gone to the next level with now having his very own show on Channel 4. The show is a huge step for the comedian, whose rise has been an impressive one to watch and witness. The show will surely feature some top artists and fellow comedians and on a channel such as Channel 4, the sky is the limit for the comedian…

The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan is set to air on Channel 4, every Friday night at 10pm.
